    MRINetwork also known as Management Recruiters International or MRI Network is a global recruitment franchise. They have a track record of misrepresenting the truth. For years they falsely portrayed someone as a regular franchisee who had no valid franchise agreement and who was not paying them royalties.     Good to see good people take the time to WARN about exploitive franchisors and this hybrid model of doing business wherein the franchisees provide the cheap labor and cheap venture capital to grow the gross sales of the franchisors who mitigate their risk on the backs of good faith investors in franchises who assume the risk not knowing the extent of the risk they are taking. Unfortunately, franchisees find out too late that franchisors feel quite free to lie, cheat, and steal as needed because their adhesive contracts protect them from any recourse from franchisees.

    Would that more failed franchisees would speak out about their experiences to warn others and to put pressure on the establishment to clean franchising up for franchisees. Until there is government mandated TRUE and Accurate Disclosure of the Risk of buying a franchise, as demonstrated by the disclosure by the franchisor of the financial performance of the units that comprise the franchise system, the franchisors will feel free to continue to EXPLOIT and USE franchisees cheap labor and cheap venture capital to perpetuate their own survival in both good and bad economies.

    Congratulations to Chris –who was not brought to his knees — and who speaks out against the injustice that is possible because franchisees innocently and in good faith do sign franchise agreements that are drafted by franchisors and their attorneys in which the premeditated bad faith of the franchisors is protected under the legal terms of the adhesive contracts.

    Excellent site! lets fight together, I have another “TRUE STORY” of the horrors of TDL…. they are portraying a true goody canadian corporate image, when all they are a bunch of greedy executives who don’t care what they do to families…

    We took over a location that was 10 yrs old. Had been previously owed by 2 other Franchisees, had never broken $800,000 per yr in sales. 10 years later its a 1.3 million dollar site. We are responsible for our sucess and failures.

    Very interesting stuff but the writing comes across as quite whiny. A more businesslike tone with detailed facts and numbers would help get your message across.

    Also, please have someone with strong English writing skills go over your writings to correct usage of terms such as “where” instead of “were” and “to” and “too” and others. Punctuation and paragraph usage are also very poor. Poor writing leaves the impression that the writer is uneducated, unintelligent and possibly responsible for their own victimization.

      Thank you, yes I know this was just done to get this off our chests. We have had a better site shut down with Tim Hortons threatening to sue GoDaddy so they shut my site down. We have a new name and a new site that will only have court documents and specific facts. Please understand that we are upset and this has destroyed a family….and by no means are we the only ones. Many more families are in the same situation with no way out. Thank you for your comments, they are appreciated.

    i would never suggest this job to anyone in the elliot lake ontario, because the owner is very dis-respectful to her employees, including fowl language to staff in front of customers.
    that is one thing, but me personally i worked there for just over 6 months and she fired me for no reason and she has a history of this.
    and i am not the first, never would i recommend anyone to work there unless there was a new owner.
    she is known in elliot lake as one of the worst employers in our small city where unemployment is high.
    i am a punctual reliable responsible person but i don’t kiss anyone’s .ss and i think that is why i was let go
    and believe me she is not a good person to work for.

It is a gathering place for those who have been victimized by a vending machine scam run by Planters Canada and a company called Revolution 650. Revolution 650 went from coast to coast, selling Planters vending machines and promises that turned out to be lies. Revolution 650 eventually closed their doors and abandoned the distributors.

    Good luck with your fight. Ours is ongoing.

    I went to Tim Hortons in Canada and asked for a pure vegi soup. The manager including other two workers in the shop told me that it was 100% vegeterian and they are very confident as they make it everyday. I had it and felt a strange taste in it. Later I spoke to someone who also eats vegi only and mentioned that Minestrone soup is not vegeterian. I then checked Tim Hortons website and found that the soup has beef/pork flavouring which totally disturbed me and make me very upset. I called the headoffice several times and they only offered $50 for the incident and they didn’t seem to take it very seriously. This is making me more upset and I want to know what I can do in this situation? I want to sue them!

    Thank you for this very informative site. Me and my family were looking into getting a Tim Horton franchise, but after doing my research it is not as nice as they describe it in their website. I would not go in business with a corporation that does not show me all the numbers of a store before I invest my money.

    We live in a democratic country and as such we should be allowed to express our experiences free of fear of being shut down from big bullying corporations.
    We as people made this corporations by buying their products, and we can also boycott them as well.
